The Today Show is a live national news broadcast that is 4 hours a day 7 days a week on NBC. The Art Department is responsible for all props, print graphics, flowers, prop styling, collaborating with food stylists and producers on a daily basis to produce anywhere from 8-20 segments a day for the live show. April works directly with the union crew to run set up, collaborate with producers and guests, style props, spike table set ups and run the live show both inside and outside. One typical day may contain, but is not limited to, a cooking segment with Michael Lomonaco, a fashion show with Jill Martin, a musical performance by Lady Gaga, a Back to School segment with Phil Lempert, a design segment with Elizabeth Mayhew, a nutrition segment with Madelyn Fernstrom and Julie Scardina from Sea World with a tiger, a muskrat and a cockatoo.
