April M. Bartlett

April is a Scene Designer and Art Director for theater, live television and event design.  She is a visual artist specializing in storytelling and is inspired by the limitless potential of an undefined space.

April has worked with Glimmerglass Opera, Shelby Company, The Production Company, Threads Theater Company, Paul Miller Productions, MSNBC, NBC Universal, Peacock Productions, The Weather Channel and TLC.  April currently holds the position of Art Director for NBC Universal’s The Today Show.

April has been a guest designer at The Kings College, Bard College Conservatory of Music and Long Island University.  She mentors second year graduate scene design students at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and frequently sits on the senior design portfolio review panel for Emerson College.

Emmy-nominated for Outstanding Art Direction, The Today Show on NBC Universal in 2011. April  holds a BFA in Design and Technology from Emerson College and an MFA in Scene Design from Carnegie Mellon.  Proud member of Local USA829.

April resides in NYC with her husband and their furry family; Potato, Alfredo and PJ.
